ADAM SHAPIRO
Founder & Chairman
Cornell University '20
Born and raised in Montreal, Adam Shapiro founded Start-Up Nation Mentorship during his sophomore year at Cornell University. Adam sought to create an initiative that would provide transformative career opportunities to students from all backgrounds and bridge geopolitical divides on college campuses. Adam now lives in New York City and works at a global investment firm.

DANI SPRINGER

Dani Springer is a third-year student in the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University, concentrating in both International Business and Strategic Management. Born and raised in Kingston, Daniella was a committed member of the Jewish community. She has recently been named a Ronald S. Lauder Fellow of the World Jewish Congress. Daniella continues to immerse herself in campus life, joining many executives teams in McGill's Management Undergraduate Society (MUS). In the future, she hopes to study law and use her degrees for the betterment of Israel.

Ben Spilg is a senior at McGill University studying strategy and analytics. Ben joined Start-Up Nation Mentorship in 2019 as the campus director at McGill University. He has served as CEO of Start-Up Nation Mentorship since 2020, managing the executive teams and shaping strategic direction. Ben is currently interning at WalkMe and is serving as the President of Chabad at McGill.

JAIME LEO MIZRACHI

Jaime is a rising Junior from Panama studying Management Science & Engineering, minoring in History, and doing a Masters in Computer Science. In the past, he worked in the Panamanian Chamber of Commerce, founded a startup, and served as a Venture Capital Analyst at the Sony Innovation Fund in Tel Aviv. Jaime will be interning next summer at McKinsey in their Miami office focused on financial services and technology. In his free time, Jaime fences for Stanford D1 Men's Epee team and enjoys hiking.

SAMI CHUSSID

Samantha is a junior studying Psychology at Cornell University. In her years at SUNM she has served as campus director, US Director, and now, co-COO. Outside of SUNM she is involved in a professional business fraternity, social sorority, and Chabad. In her free time she enjoys playing tennis, baking, and spending time with family!

DEAN MEYER

Dean is an investor at Team8 Capital. Before joining Team8 he worked in the investments team at OurCrowd where he led their investments in early-stage deep-tech and enterprise software. Prior, Dean was a Junior Data Scientist at MyTopDog, a leading Ed-Tech company. Dean holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Interdisciplinary Center, Herzliya, finishing with high distinctions. Before Dean’s academic and professional career, he played professional soccer at Ajax Amsterdam in Holland and Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel.

MAYA SIMON

Maya Simon is a senior Washington University in St. Louis. She is dual enrolled in Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts and lLin Business School for Communication Design and Marketing with a minor in the Business of Entertainment. At WashU, she is the art director for Strike Magazine, an undergraduate campus interviewer, former president of Lambda Sigma honor society, and a marketing TA. She is also a Birthright Excel Global Excel fellow in the 2022 cohort.

SAM MOSES

Samuel Moses is a Junior at McGill University studying finance. In addition to being a Head Analyst at the McGill Investment Club, Samuel has completed two summer internships at the Royal Bank and the National Bank of Canada. After developing a keen interest in Blockchain and Web3, he shifted his focus and is currently supporting a start-up to sharpen his critical thinking and connect with interesting individuals. Outside of academics, Samuel can be found exploring Montreal’s restaurant scene and water skiing in cottage country.

JUSTIN SHAPIRO

University of Toronto Medical '23
Justin Shapiro is a third-year medical student at the University of Toronto. Justin is concurrently pursuing a MSc in Health System Leadership & Innovation, and he serves as the program’s class co-president. During his undergraduate studies at Western University, he served on the university’s Board of Governors and Senate, the school’s two highest authoritative bodies. He has also served as the Co-chair of the CJPAC Fellowship, Canada’s premiere political training program for university students. Justin plans to pursue a career combining clinical medicine, healthcare leadership and innovation.

OLIVIA LEVINE

Olivia Levine is an investor at Lead Edge Capital. She is a graduate of Duke University where she studied Public Policy and Innovation & Entrepreneurship. She graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors. While at Duke, she was on the executive board of TAMID, the first female president of Chabad at Duke, and pursued research in crime from firearms.

ELAN ARNOWITZ

University of Michigan ‘21
Elan Arnowitz is an investor at Insight Partners and is based in New York City. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business with a minor in history. Previously, he was an investor at Red Beard Ventures - an early stage crypto/web3 fund. He also worked on the information technology team at Marriott International.
In his free time, Elan enjoys DJing, skiing, and traveling.

CAMI TUSSIE

Harvard University Dental School ‘25
Cami Tussie is a first year dental student at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Born in Buenos Aires and raised in South Florida, Cami received her B.S. in Bioengineering from Stanford University as a member of the Class of 2021. She has been extremely involved in Jewish life, leading Stanford's Israel Association, Jewish Student Association, and taking part in many non-profit Jewish organizations; she was a Ronald S. Lauder Fellow, a Stand With Us Emerson Fellow, and an ICC Grinspoon Fellow. Cami was initially a Stanford campus director for SUNM and then acted as the COO for the organization. She is fascinated by entrepreneurship and innovation, specifically in dentistry and medicine, and views SUNM as a beautiful bridge between the start-up culture she loves and the Israeli ecosystem.
